However, due to the current economic realities in our country, we find it necessary to adjust our prices to ensure the continued sustainability of our business. Let us take a moment to reflect on our journey. In 2020, when we first introduced our room spray, it was priced at just ₦1,200. We were a small business with a dream, and your support meant the world to us. Fast forward to 2023, and our room sprays are now priced at ₦6,500.
While this price adjustment may not come as a surprise, we want to assure you that it was not a decision we took lightly. The economic landscape has evolved, and factors such as inflation, increased production costs, and currency fluctuations have all contributed to this change.
We understand that price increases can be challenging for our loyal customers, but we want to be transparent about why this adjustment is necessary.
Furthermore, we want to emphasize that Home Essence by RJ is committed to operating in a responsible and tax-compliant manner and as such engaged tax consultants to ensure that all necessary taxes, including Value Added Tax (VAT), are properly accounted for and incorporated into the cost of our products. We understand that seeing a separate line item for VAT can be discouraging for some customers, and we want to make the purchasing process as straightforward as possible.
